1. Information collected in this site
When you interact with us through the site, we may collect personal and anonymous data from you.
You might purchase Kiwi for Gmail or Kiwi for G Suite using this site. We use software that tracks purchase patterns and advises us about purchasing trends and patterns. This information is not and cannot be reported at the individual purchaser level. We use this information to observe and adjust our marketing activities. See more in section 4.
You might leave a comment on blog post, a tech support question in our user community including FAQs, or in another place that affords users the opportunity to express themselves. These comments will be retained by the site. We may also use the comments in marketing, but not with identifying information.
At no time, other than to maintain communication with you, will Zive use personally identifiable data or offer it to other users, including other companies. This prohibition also covers vendors who work with Zive under contract to operate our advertising, social media engagement, public relations, and consumer marketing programs.
When you interact with Zive through the site, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot be used to specifically identify you. Zive may store such information itself and/or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by Zive affiliates, agents or service providers. This site may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to our site, the number of visitors to each page of our site, and the domain names of our visitors' internet service providers. Service Improvement: We may use your Personal Data, aggregated Personal Data and other personally non-identifiable information collected through the Site to help us improve the content and functionality of the Site, to better understand our users and to improve our product and services.
2. Information collected via social media.
When you interact with us through our social media presences such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, we may collect personal data and other information from you.
We may use your comments in internal marketing analysis. We can use your profile information to learn personal data and information about you which you voluntarily disclose publicly via social media. In other words, if anyone on the internet can find it, then so can we. If we seek to use the information in marketing campaigns, we will ask for your permission.
We can also use your personal data to reply to your correspondence submitted via social media.
If you respond to advertising or posts on social media, we may collect aggregate information about trends regarding readership of posts and sales activity taking place as a result of certain advertisements online. These data collection efforts are always reported in the aggregate, not at the individual level.
3a. Information collected inside Kiwi for Gmail.
Although Kiwi for Gmail is designed as a desktop application to help users improve their experience with Google G Suite, Kiwi for Gmail does not change a user’s Google account, except to receive and send mail or change settings as directed exclusively and solely by the user. Nor does Kiwi for Gmail add or amend the folder or label structure of Gmail. Essentially, Gmail and associated Google applications are changed by Kiwi for Gmail only to the extent that the user would change the user’s Google account without Kiwi for Gmail and using Google G Suite in a browser.
We use reporting technologies in Kiwi for Gmail to learn how users in the aggregate — never individually — use the product. We collect information about frequency of use, operating systems users employ, country of origin, the last previous use of Kiwi for Gmail, and crash reports.
You may opt-in to providing anonymous usage data within the application. This information includes which features are used and how often. No personally identifiable data is reported to or stored on our servers unless you specifically provide it on a case-by-case basis (e.g., crash report annotations).
3b. Information collected inside Kiwi for G Suite.
Although Kiwi for G Suite is designed as a desktop application to help users improve their experience with Google G Suite, Kiwi for G Suite does not change a user’s Google account, except to receive and send mail or change settings as directed exclusively and solely by the user. Nor does Kiwi for G Suite add or amend the folder or label structure of Gmail. Essentially, Gmail and associated Google applications are changed by Kiwi for G Suite only to the extent that the user would change the user’s Google account without Kiwi for G Suite and using Google G Suite in a browser.
Kiwi for G Suite utilizes an authentication system in where the account added first is checked to match a domain licensed by Zive, inc. This information is transmitted securely to our servers for verification of the license.
We use reporting technologies in Kiwi for G Suite to learn how users in the aggregate — never individually — use the product. We collect information about frequency of use, operating systems users employ, country of origin, the last previous use of Kiwi for Gmail, licensed domains, and crash reports.
You may opt-in to providing anonymous usage data within the application. This information includes which features are used and how often. When using the corporate licensed version of Kiwi for G Suite, the application will send to our servers the email addresses associated with each created account.
4. Information collected inside the Apple Mac App Store and other points of purchase.
The Apple Mac App store and other points of purchase will collect credit card information and other information about you. Your reviews of Kiwi for Gmail may be stored and displayed online. User of this information is governed by the privacy policies of Apple and other companies which are points of purchase for Zive. Individual details about credit card information and other specifics of purchases are not reported to us. Collective information about sales volume and trends are reported to us, however.

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information:
We consider your Personal Data and privacy to be a vital part of our relationship with you. There are, however, certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:
Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets.
Agents, Consultants and Related Third Parties: Zive like many businesses, sometimes hires other companies to perform certain business-related functions. Examples of such functions include mailing information, maintaining databases, social media engagement, advertising, public relations, and customer support experts. When we employ another company to perform a function of this nature, we only provide them with the information that they need to perform their specific function.
Legal Requirements: Zive may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Zive, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Site or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.

You can use the Site without providing any Personal Data. However, if you choose not to provide any Personal Data, you may not be able to use certain services we offer. For example, you will not be able to use blog comments.

This Site may contain links to other web sites not operated or controlled by Zive (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from this Site do not imply that Zive endorses or has reviewed the Third Party Sites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.
Zive takes reasonable steps to protect the Personal Data provided via the Site from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no Internet or e-mail transmission is ever fully secure or error free. In particular, e-mail sent to or from this Site may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via e-mail and/or Internet transmission. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to Zive via the Internet.
Data retention period
Any Personal and Anonymous Data that is collected and stored by Zive will be retained only for as long as required in order to provide certain products and/or services to you, or where required by law. Data that is no longer required will be destroyed.
You may contact us as specified below. We will take reasonable steps to update, correct or remove any Personal Data in our possession that you have previously submitted via this Site.
